DEAN MESSAGE

As Akdeniz University Faculty of Nursing, our goal is to prepare our students for the intercultural health care environment with a quality education, to develop nursing education and practices at national/international level, and to train nurses who will make a difference in the health care system. Our faculty is a faculty that contributes significantly to nursing science with its undergraduate, graduate and doctoral education programs and educates competent graduates in its field. We are in an effort to carry the modern nursing paradigm to postmodern nursing with an innovative, pioneering vision, theoretically based and evidence-based nursing research, Teaching of Care Behaviors approaches in order to improve our awareness of "Care", which is our purpose of existence.

In addition, the faculty members are experienced in education and training processes, many of them have international experience, and they are among the leading faculties in Turkey with their research and project activities. Our faculty is the first Faculty of Nursing in Turkey to receive the Quality Management System certificate and is among the nursing faculties accredited by the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Nursing Education Programs. It is among our goals to carry the success and development we have achieved so far in nursing education, accreditation and quality processes further and to raise them to the international level.

Located in Antalya, the capital of tourism and preferred by national/international students, our faculty offers the opportunity to learn together with students from different cultures. Within the scope of the Erasmus plus program, we have agreements with 13 universities from 9 countries in Europe and 6 countries and 8 universities in Asia and Africa within the scope of the Mevlana Exchange Program. With Erasmus and Mevlana exchange programs, students gain the opportunity to exchange abroad and thus have international experiences.

In this context, as Akdeniz University Faculty of Nursing, I would like to inform you that we are open to cooperation with relevant institutions and organizations for research, projects and social activities and exchange programs to be carried out related to education and training programs.

As Akdeniz University Faculty of Nursing, we aim to maintain our quality of education and contribute to the development of nursing care in our country during the pandemic period we are experiencing together with the whole world.
